Q. How does the milling machine cuts its workpiece?
A milling machine works like a drill machine. Instead of drilling a hole, it rotates the mill to shape an object thus there are 2 types of milling methods.Horizontal and vertical for flexibility. The spindle can be shortened and extend and the table can be raised or lowered.

Types of milling.....
Climb milling:
Each tooth engages the material at a definite point, and the width of the cut starts at the maximum and decreases to zero. The chips are disposed behind the cutter, leading to easier swarf removal. The tooth does not rub on the material, and so tool life may be longer. However, climb milling can apply larger loads to the machine, and so is not recommended for older milling machines, or machines which are not in good condition. This type of milling is used predominantly on mills with a backlash eliminator.
Q. What can we do as engineers or individuals to prevent global warming?
As An individual
Chemicals-
Avoid chlorine at all cost! Use of any chlorine compounds is very harmful to the environment E.g Spray Paint and Bleach. Phosphates found in many laundry detergents and soaps contributes to water pollution and should be avoided.
Appliances-
Also, we can constantly send our appliances,e.g refrigerator, air conditioners, for mantainance to prevent leakage of toxic chemicals like CFC.

As Engineers
Renewable Source of Energy:
Solar panels are devices that convert sunlight into energy. As engineers we can build houses that operates on solar energy. This way, we can substitute it with the conventional coal powered generator.
Bio-Fuel:
Biofuel can be a substitute for fossil fuels.Eg would be a car operating on biofuel.
Hi everyone. This is the Give Me Shoemakers Team. The members are Harrith,PekCheng,HweeSiang,Sharmizwar and Dzafir. The reason why we chose this name is somewhat related to our project which is the Designing and Making a Formula 1 car. Therefore the famous F1 drivers we know is none other than Kimi Raikkonen(Kimi=Giv-mi) and Michael Schumacher (Schumacher=Sho-ma-ker).
